The aging process in the population has been evidenced in studies that refer to data and characteristics of the population in general. On the other hand, there are few scientific studies that address this theme in the minorities that inhabit the Brazilian territory. Faced with this fact, the present study aims to bring contributions regarding the aging process, in the culture of the peoples popularly known as gypsies, making a cultural and historical survey of these communities, in an attempt to find material scientifically recognized in the literature and open space for New research in the area, which will enable advances and improvements in public policies aimed at helping the aging process of these communities.
