Abstract

The present work has as objective to approach the sector of war industries of Brazil and the export of the products, as well as to mention some of the main industries producing arms. The Brazilian military industries have become one of the main branches of national exports over the last fifteen years, although it is a little known sector. The country is one of the largest manufacturers of light weapons and owns one of the largest manufacturers of ammunition for handguns on the planet, exporting its goods including to countries recognized as military powers, such as the United States. The great controversy involved in international trade is related to the real destination and the quantity of arms exported. Suspicions are that Made in Brazil weapons are supplying armed conflicts in countries that violate human rights.
